A. M. Pest Control is a Baltimore-based, owner-operated pest control company serving residential and commercial customers across MD, DC, and VA. We built a 34-page static site (no framework, no build step) with a dedicated page for every Baltimore-metro neighborhood served. That's the local-SEO move that turns 'pest control near me' searches into bookings instead of clicks for Terminix.
01
The Challenge
Pest control is one of the most aggressive local-search categories in any city. Generic 'pest control Baltimore' pages get buried under Terminix, Orkin, Aptive, and a wall of national franchises with budgets to match.
A. M. Pest is local and owner-operated. Their actual differentiators (same-day response, transparent flat-rate pricing, pet- and child-safe options, re-treatment guarantee) were invisible in a category dominated by '$19 starting at' clickbait.

What We Did
Per-neighborhood landing pages: 22 of them
Built a unique page for every Baltimore-metro neighborhood served: Canton, Federal Hill, Fells Point, Mt. Vernon, Hampden, Roland Park, Towson, Pikesville, and 14 more. Each names real landmarks, mentions row-home or split-level pest patterns, and ranks for 'pest control [neighborhood]' queries that aggregators don't bother targeting.
Static site, no build step
Vanilla HTML + CSS + tiny JS. Manrope (body) + Oswald (display). Edit-a-file-and-save development. Loads in well under a second on mobile. No framework to update, no node_modules to break, no CMS subscription. The owner can edit copy in any text editor.
Service pages built around the search query
Four service detail pages (cockroach, rodent, bed-bug, termite), each written the way customers actually search at 2am after spotting a bug. From-prices on every card, what's covered listed honestly, what would change the price spelled out plainly.
A blog for top-of-funnel queries
Three long-form posts targeting awareness-stage queries like 'how to prep for a bed-bug treatment' and 'why roaches love Baltimore row-homes.' These don't convert directly. They build domain authority and feed the neighborhood pages.
