Best Automotive Sales is a used-car dealer and service shop on Wilkens Avenue in Baltimore. We rebuilt their site as two businesses under one roof: a sales side with a Sanity-managed inventory of real vehicles you can filter by body type, make, price, mileage and drivetrain, and a service side that books inspections and repairs. Every car gets a full detail page — gallery, specs and a sticky booking action — and the whole site is mobile-first for buyers shopping from a phone on the lot.

The Challenge

A used-car lot's whole pitch is the inventory, but a flat list is useless once it grows past a screen. Shoppers think in filters — 'SUV, under $12k, low miles, all-wheel drive' — and the site couldn't answer that. The cars were there; the way to narrow them down wasn't.

Best Automotive is really two businesses — selling cars and servicing them — competing for the same homepage. The site had to give the sales inventory and the service/inspection arm each a clear path, fast, on the phones most buyers actually use on the lot.

What We Did

  1. An inventory you can actually filter

A URL-driven search results page with faceted filters — body type, make, price, mileage, drivetrain — plus sort by featured, price, miles, or year. Filters live in the URL, so any search is shareable and bookmarkable. The 18 real vehicles are managed in Sanity, so staff update stock, photos and prices without a developer.

  2. A detail page that closes the sale

Every vehicle gets its own page: a photo gallery, the full spec sheet, a 'bought with confidence' warranty callout, and a sticky booking sidebar so a test drive or a question is one tap away on any device.

  3. Sales and service, side by side

The service and inspection arm gets its own overview and per-service pages with an FAQ, so the shop's second revenue line is a first-class part of the site instead of an afterthought buried under the cars.

  4. Mobile-first on a fast, modern stack

Built on Next.js, React and Tailwind with a cinematic hero, thumb-zone sticky CTAs, and Vercel analytics and speed-insights baked in — all in Best Automotive's red-on-dark identity.
